Mrs. Edward Carel Passes Away In Ohio

Mrs. Edward Carel, 66, died Wednesday, October 11, at the home of her sister, Mrs. Edward Taylor, in Cleveland, Ohio.

Funeral services were held Friday, October 13, at St. Philomena’s Church in Cleveland and interment was in the Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Carel suffered a stroke about a year ago from which she did not fully recover. Elizabeth Hickey was born in Toronto, Canada, and came to Plymouth County about thirty-five years ago. She was married to Edward Carel, who preceded her in death, and they farmed in Stanton Township.

She is survived by two brothers, Michael Hickey, who lives in Canada, and Thomas Hickey, two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Shepherd of Oakland, Calif., and Mrs. Edward Taylor, with who she lived the past three years.
