Note: His mother maiden name was Batchelder. His first wife's maiden name was Miller.

HEART ATTACK IS FATAL TO UNION COUNTY FARMER

Final Rites Are Held Monday Afternoon For Ira J. Tresler

The final summons came to Ira J. Tresler, a lifetime resident of Union County, S. D., southwest of town, last Friday, February 24, at Akron Hospital, after a brief illness of heart trouble, age 74 years.

Mr. Tresler was born February 24, 1892, in Union County, S. D., the son of pioneer parents. On February 7, 1928, he married Miss Minnie Ahrens in Elk Point, and they began homemaking on a farm.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Akron. He was esteemed by many friends, who extend sympathy to his relatives.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Floyd and Walter, both at home; two brothers Walter of Hill City, S. D., and Floyd of Medelia, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Walt Baurret of Mitchell, S. D., and Mrs. Lawrence Berfiend of Rapid City, S. D.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran Church, Rev. Harris Hosbager officiating. There was congregational singing and Mrs. Glen Gabel was organist. Casket bearers were Porter Maynard, Harvey Dewey, Lester Henke, Darcy Fletcher, Elmer Dimmick, and Elmo Flethcher. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
