Merrill Resident Dies
Mrs. Edward Blankenberg Succumbs to Three Weeks Illness
Sioux City Journal Following a three weeks Illness, Mrs. Edward Blankenberg, formerly a resident of Sioux City, died at her home in Merrill, Iowa, Friday . Death was caused by spinal disease.
Mrs. Blankenberg formerly was Stella Keane, of Sioux City, coming here in 1890. She resided in Sioux City until 1916, and was 49 years old at the time of her death.
Funeral services were held Monday at the home of her sister, Mrs. George Gordon, 1014 1/2 Virginia street, at 8:30 o'clock and at St. Joseph's Catholic church at 9 o'clock. Interment was in Mt Calvary cemetery.
Mrs. Blankenberg is survived by her husband and three children, Ernestine, Loretta and William; by her father, W. H. Keane, of Akron, Iowa; three brothers, C. J. Keane, of Sioux City; S. E. Keane, of Aberdeen, S. D., and W. F. Keane, of Akron, Iowa, and by two sisters, Mrs. George Gordon, of Sioux City, and Mrs. Harry Tage of Boise, Idaho.
