Mrs. Lawrence Gibbons

Mrs. Lawrence Gibbons, 89, Akron died Tuesday (May 27, 1980) at the Akron Hospital.

Service was held at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Akron. The Rev. William Carel officiated with burial in the parish cemetery, under direction of the Schroeder Funeral home, Akron. The rosary was recited at the funeral home on Wednesday evening.

Mrs. Gibbons, the former Catherine Burnight, was born Feb. 22, 1891, in Akron. She was married in 1912 at 1912 at Akron. Mr. Gibbons died Sept. 28, 1957.

Pallbearers were Vernon Lias, Leonard Buryanek, Terry Gries, Louis Conway, Tom Hughes and Richard Hughes.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Alfred (Marcella) Hawks of Westfield, and Mrs. Everald (Lucille) Paskert of Remsen; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lawrence and two sons, Raymond and Tom.
