Patrick J. Gibbons, a former resident of Akron, died Monday, February 26, 1951, at a Sioux City hospital, after an illness of two months, aged 77 years.

He was born January 10, 1874, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marti Gibbons, at Galena,, Ill., who were early day residents of Akron vicinity. Patrick had lived in Sioux City the past ten years.

He is survived by a brother, Lawrence Gibbons, of Akron, and a sister, Mrs. Charles Burnight, of Sioux City.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at St. Boniface Church in Sioux City, the Rev. Fr. Cloud Billig officiating. Interment was beside his parents here in the Catholic cemetery.
