A GOOD WOMAN PASSES AWAY

Mary Robinson was born Jan. 27, 1849, in Milborn, Westmorland County, near Penrith, Old England. There she spent her girlhood and young womanhood. Jan. 13, 1870, she was united in marriage with Wm. Richardson. On Feb. 11, 1870, they sailed to America settling in Salemound, Ill. residing there four years, then moving to Spring Branch, Layfayette County, Wisconsin. From there they came to Kingsley, Ia., where she spent the remainder of her life with the exception of two years spent in Oregon.

She sought and found her Savior at a very early age uniting with the Wesleyan Methodist Church. After coming to Iowa with her husband she united with the United Brethren of Christ, being a charter member of the church west of Kingsley.

She passed away Aug. 12, 1916, Saturday evening at 7 o’clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Annie Larson, who tenderly cared for her during the last three months of her life. She was a kind and devoted mother of three children, Mrs. Annie Larson, Mrs. Ellie May, of Kingsley, and Mrs. Minnie Antrim, Wagner, S. Dak., and a husband with whom she shared the joys and sorrows of life for nearly half century. Three sisters also survive, one in Canton, S. Dak., the other two in England. She also leaves eight grandchildren and a host of friends who will remember the kind deeds of Grandma Richardson who rejoice in the full assurance of her own translation into a better and happier world where she awaits the coming of them all.

The funeral was conducted last Monday from the Methodist Church by Rev. Hansen assisted by Rev. LaGrone and interment was made in the Kingsley Cemetery.

The floral offerings were most beautiful. Pall bearers were O. C. Blackston, Hugh Mason, Wm. Ricke, John Bainbrridge, James Pratt, and Samue Erb. Singers were Mrs. Clay Wilson, Mrs. M. C. Larson and Mr. O. S. Pixler, organist, Miss Pearl Mason.
