Feme Nicholson Claimed By Death
Passes Away After Illness of Few Hours
Mrs. Feme Nicholson,. 424 First Avenue, a life long resident of LeMars, died November 20, at the Sacred Heart hospital in this city, after a few hours illness from cerebral hemorrhage. Mrs. Nicholson was slightly indisposed during the week and Thursday evening a friend called to see her and found her in an unconscious, state and called a physician.
Feme Elizabeth Mann was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. P. E. Mann, well known residents of LeMars for many years, and was born February 25, 1891. She grew up and was educated in the city schools and after graduating was a teacher in the rural schools. She was a member o the Women association of the' First: Presbyterian church. She was active in community and social circles and her sudden passing is deplored by many friends and acquaintances.
She leaves a daughter, Ellen E. Nicholson, who is employed in a government office in Washington, D. C, two brothers, Kenneth F. Mann and Leslie P. Mann of this city; a niece,
Mrs. Gertrude Meyer of Denver, Colo.; and a nephew Cpl. Irving Mann, stationed at Fort Benning, Ga.A son, Glenn Nicholson, preceded her in death, May 30, 1939. .
The funeral will be held, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Mauer Funeral Home. Rev. Glen E. Morrow, pastor of the, First Presbyterian church, will conduct the service. Interment will be made in the city cemetery.
Her daughter, Miss Ellen Nicholson, arrived from Washington, D. C, Monday morning, to attend the funeral, having been advised of her mother's illness by a telegram Thursday night. Cpl. Irving Mann, who is home on furlough was granted an extension of leave, to attend the funeral.
