MRS LENA FRERICHS DEAD AT AGE 93:SERVICES SET TUESDAY

Mrs. Helena (Lena) Frerichs, 93, died Saturday at Brentwood Good Samaritan home. She had lived at the home for three years and 10 months. She was born in Berlin, Germany, April 25, 1874. In 1875 she came to the United States with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schultz. They settled on a farm in Illinois for a few years, after which they came to Plymouth county where she spent the remainder of her life. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Edo R. Frerichs and Helena Schultz were married March 9, 1899, in Plymouth county. Mrs. Frerichs retired in 1947 and moved to her home in Le Mars.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John American Lutheran church. Rev. L. L. Belk and Rev. Arnold Imbrock will officiate and burial will be in Le Mars Memorial cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home. A prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Survivors are her son, Charles of Le Mars; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Henry Schultz, Le Mars; three sisters, Mrs. Nettie Harms and Mrs. Kathern Wagner, both of Sioux City, and Mrs. Anna Null, Le Mars.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Emil and a daughter, Helen Hoefer.

She was a member of the ladies aid at St. John American Lutheran church.
