T. K. Chapman, 84, longtime Plymouth county resident, died Wednesday (Dec. 29, 1976) at Floyd Valley hospital in LeMars after a brief illness. Mr. Chapman was taken by the Le Mars ambulance to the hospital Christmas eve.
He was born Dec. 15, 1892, in Sioux county to Grant and Margaret .March Chapman. Thurit Chapman and Mary Deegan were married June 12. 1918, at Struble. The couple farmed until their retirement in 1952 to Le Mars.
She preceded him in death June 18, 1968. Mr. Chapman married Cecelia Langenhorst. July 11. 1969. and the couple's home is at 121 Fifth St. SE. He was a member of St. James Catholic church.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at St. James church with Rev. George McFadden officiating. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery under direction of the Luken-Johnson funeral home. A wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Survivors are his wife Cecelia of Le Mars; three sons, Robert of LaCresenta, Calif.; Roland of Spirit Lake and Gerald of' Le Mars; two daughters, .Mrs. Harry (Kathleen) Mower, Mesa, Ariz., and Mrs. Phil (Lorraine) Hoffman, Alton; a sister Constance Chapman, Carlsbad. N.M.. and 31 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
