Betty Jean Hamman Born February 13, 1927, Betty died, Sunday, May 22, 2011 in Novato, CA.

She was predeceased by parents John L. Willer, Bessie Raish and her husband John P. Hamman.

Betty is survived by daughters, Beverly Wright, Carolynn Dassonville, sister and brother, Donna Mae Martin, Dwain Willer and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born and lived on the family farm in Akron, Iowa, attended Westfield Consolidated High School, and graduated from Westmar College in LeMars, Iowa. She taught school for two years in a one-room school house. Betty married John Paul Hamman, October 24, 1946 at "The Little Brown Church In The Vale", Nashua, Iowa. They moved to Berkeley, CA in 1948. Owned and operated a bar and a gas station (Betty & John's Service). Moved to Novato, CA in 1954. Betty was a Dental Assistant, Bookkeeper, and Office Manager. Widowed in 1982.

She enjoyed gardening, reading, camping, fishing, birdwatching, knitting, needlepoint, jigsaw puzzles, and concerts. She passed away at home after a long illness. There was no memorial service. Donations to Hospice By The Bay, 415-927-2273
