George Schultz
George Albert Schultz, 72, Merrill, died Tuesday, July 25, 1978, at Sioux Valley Hospital, Sioux Falls, after a lengthy illness. He had been at the hospital seven weeks
Mr. Schultz was born March 30, 1906 Stanton township, rural Merrill. His parents were Christian and Minnie Rieke Schultz.
He was a retired farmer and lived in Stanton township until 1952 at which time the family moved to Flandreau, SD. They retired there in 1974. Last spring they moved back to Plymouth county.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church.
His marriage to Mildred Winter took place Dec. 1 1943 in LeMars.
Funeral services will be at 2 pm Friday at the Mauer funeral home with Rev. George Affedt officiating. Burial will be in Stanton township cemetery under direction of the Maurer funeral home.
Survivors are this wife Mildred, Merrill , a son , Donald and a daughter, Carol , both at home; a brother Alfred, rural Merrill and a sister, Mrs. Charles (Mildred) Stooisma, White Water, Wis.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and a brother, William.
