Henry Cassens, Preston, Is Dead
Succumbs To Brief Illness In Hospital
Henry Cassens, a Preston township farmer, died February 3, in Akron hospital after a few days illness,
Mr, Cassens was born in Sept. 15, 1898, in northwest Plymouth county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cassens, and had spent his entire life in that community. He was married December 20, 1921, to Flora Haage, who survives him with the following daughters born to them: Mrs. Earnest Lockwood (Irene) and Mrs. John Lockwood (Wilma) both of Akron; also Mrs. Darrell Plueger, (Darlene) Ireton, and five grandchildren. He Is also survived by his mother, Mrs. Eva Cassens, of Brunsville and two sisters, Mrs. George Renken of Ireton and Mrs, John Haage of LeMars. His father and a brother, John, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 at the home and at 2 p. m, at St, John's American Lutheranchurch in Preston township of which he was a member on Friday, Feb 6, The pastor. Rev, H, P, Stief, will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
