Mrs. Henry Cassens

Mrs, Henry Cassens, 79, of Akron, died Tuesday (Dec, 22,1981), in a hospital at Akron after a brief illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in St. John's Lutheran church, rural Akron. Rev. Robert Kruempel will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. There will be a prayer service at 8 p,.m. Wednesday in the Schroeder funeral home.

Mrs. Cassens. the former Flora Haage. was born Sept. 13, 1902, at Akron. She married Henry Cassens in 1921. They farmed in the Akron area for several years. Mr. Cassens died in 1948. She had been a resident of the Akron nursing home for two years.

Survivors are three daughters. Mrs. Wilma Kulvik and Mrs. Darlene Plueger both of Akron and Mrs. Irene Lockwood of Mitchell, S.D.; two sisters. Hannah Borchers of Akron and Kristina Lubben of LeMars; one brother. Gerd of LeMars: 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
