Walter Wetrosky

Walter Wetrosky, 82, LeMars. Plymouth county native and lifelong resident, died Sept. 28.1981, at Plymouth Manor Care center in LeMars. He had made his home at the manor since 1978.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist church in LeMars. Rev. Leonard Root will officiate and burial will be in LeMars Memorial cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Esther, Dec. 21.1969, and two brothers, Arthur and Gus.

Mr. Wetrosky was born May 22, 1899, and farmed in Stanton township. He retired to LeMars in 1972. His parents were Frank and Bertha Pauline Schulz Wetrosky. His marriage to Esther R. Fischer took place Jan. 18,1922, in LeMars. He was a veteran of World War I and a longtime member of Stanton township EUB church.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Velma) Hodgson, LeMars, and Mrs. Clay (Verjean) Heydon, Laurel, Neb.; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank of Cherokee and Elmer of Beresford, S.D. and two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Ella) Utesch, LeMars, and Mrs. Myron (Evelyn) Taylor, Sioux City.
