Ralph Riediger services set at Hinton church
Funeral services for Ralph Riediger, 47, prominent LeMars farmer and cattle feeder, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran church, Hinton.
Rev. David Oswald will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery under direction of the Luken funeral home of LeMars. Mr. Riediger died Saturday morning at Sacred Heart hospital after suffering a heart attack late Friday night at his home.
He was born April 16, 1918, in Hungerford township, Plymouth county. He lived in that township until moving to a farm near LeMars a few years ago. His marriage to Marian Schulz took place Jan. 22, 1946, at Trinity Lutheran church near Hinton.
Mr. Riediger was active in various school, church and farm groups and was co-owner of Seney Grain Co. with his brother, Earl.
Friends may call at the Luken funeral home after 1 p.m. Monday. A prayer service will be at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Survivors are his wife; three daughters, Gloria, Janet and Carol, all at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. August Riediger, LeMars; two brothers, Earl and Dale, both of Hinton, and several nieces and nephews.
Casket bearers will be Edward DeBeste, Leslie Sheehan, Mike Robinson, Wayne CrowIey, Eric Petersen and Gordon Stokes.
