Former NFO President Earl Riediger Funeral Set

Earl Fremont Riediger. 62, Plymouth County native and lifelong resident, Hinton, died Saturday (Dec. 3, 1983) in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church. Lincoln Township, rural Hinton. Rev. Jerome Hahn will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City. Military rites will be held at the grave site by Casper Post 477 American Legion. Hinton. Family visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday in the Mauer Johnson Funeral Home in LeMars.

Mr. Riediger was born Dec. 27,1920. in Hungerford Township. Plymouth County, to August and Bertha Muecke Riediger. He was a retired farmer and currently was associated with Herbold Realty of Lawton.

He married Marvel Schulz Sept. 3, 1949. in Plymouth County. He served in the United States Army in the Southwest Pacific from 1942-45. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Casper Post. American Legion, at Hinton. and the NFO having served as state president for six years.

Survivors are his wife; two sons, Terry of Lawton and Randy of Hinton; two daughters. Mrs. Darrel (Brenda) Newberg of Merrill and Mrs. Jeff (Sharon) Jonas of Remsen; one brother, Dale of Hinton. and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Marty, in 1966, and a brother, Ralph, in 1965.
