Myron "Red" Mutton

Myron "Red" Hutton, 60, a lifelong Craig, Iowa resident and trucker, died Monday, Oct. 28, 1991 at his home after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran church in Craig. Pastor Beth Graham will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery under direction of Mauer Johnson funeral home in LeMars. Military grave side rites will be conducted by Heeren-Wilken-McHale American Legion Post #74 of Brunsville. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday with family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Hutton, was born May 7, 1931 to Nelson James Hutton and Clara Marie Eggebrecht Hutton at Craig, Iowa. He married Carol Margaret Lindquist, June 9, 19S6, in Sioux City, Iowa. He owned and operated a trucking business in Craig for many years. He was a lifelong member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran church in Craig. He was a member of Heeren-Wilken-McHale Post American Legion 724, Brunsville; VFW, Elk Point, S.D. He served in the U.S. army in 1952-1954 in Korea and was a past commander of the Heeren-Wilken-McHale Legion post in Brunsville.

He is survived by his wife, Carol of Craig; two sons, Douglas Hutton and his wife, Karen of Craig, and Michael of LeMars; two daughters, Connie Hutton of Craig, and Christi Hutton of Raytown, Missouri; four sisters, Mrs. Dale (Arlene) Schulz, and Barbara Eye, both of LeMars; Mrs. Gilbert (Coralee) VanderMhenn of O'Neill, Neb., and Mrs. Charles (Roberta) Williams of Neligh, Neb.; three brothers, Eugene and his wife, Cecelia of Sioux City, Nelson Hutton, Jr. of Dakota City, Neb., and Marlin and his wife, Joyce of Windsor, Colorado; four grandchildren, Joshua, Kayla, Ashley and Brett Hutton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one son, David.
