Dr. Hodam found dead Dr. William Hodam Sr., 82, retired LeMars veterinarian, was found dead Saturday morning(August 7, 1965) at the residence, 44 Fourth Ave. SW, by his son, William Hodam of Aurella.
The younger Hodam had come to LeMars on one of his periodic visits to assist his father. Cause of death was a probable heart attack.
Dr. Hodam had been seen downtown earlier in the week, and had not been ill. Friday newspapers were found on the porch of the residence where he lived alone.
Funeral services were at 2 p. m. Monday at Mauer's funeral home.and burial was in LeMars Memorial cemetery. Rev. Sherwood Haas of the St. John United Church of Christ officiated. William Frederick Hodam was born March 22, 1883
