Mrs. William Hoschler

Mrs. William (Henrietta) Hoschler, 94, Akron, died Saturday (Jan. 5, 1985) in the Akron nursing home of a long illness.

Services were hed at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8 in St. Patrick's Catholic church in Akron. The Rev. William Wingert officiated. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery in Akron, under the direction of the Schroeder funeral home of Akron.

Pallbearers were Wayne Burris, Larry Knect, Kim Kevin Callahan, ARt Huebner, Harlan Schuller, and William Faulkner.

Mrs. Hoschler, the former Henrietta Burke, was born Sept. 26, 1890, to Steve and Rose McConville Burke in Fort Yates, North Dakota. Her father was a Sioux Indian interpretor for the U. S. Army at Fort Yates.

She married William Hoschler April 11, 1907, in Emmet, South Dakota. They farmed in Union county, South Dakota until 1947, when they retired and moved to Akron. Mr. Hoschler died in 1948.

Mrs. Hoschler was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church, and a former member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She was a member of the Sioux Valley Extension club and a Gold Star Mother of the Korean conflict.

Survivors include two daughters, mrs. J. F. (Rosalyn) Cheney of Sioux City, and Mrs. Bernard (Olive) Callahan of Elk Point; four sons, Leo B. Hoschler of Sacramento, Calif., Dennis K. Hoschler of Ontario, Calif., Edward J. Hoschler of Springdale, Ark., and Lowell G. Hoscheler of Akron; 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three sisters, one daughter and two sons.
