BEN ANDRESEN DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS

Rites Are Held Here Wednesday For Former Akron Resident

Max Benhard Andresen, well known Portland township farmer, died March 28, 1948, in the state sanatorium at Oakdale, Iowa, where he had been a patient since last fall. He had been in poor health for some time and entered the University hospital at Iowa City, July 13, 1947. After several operations, he was moved to Oakdale where he continued to fail in health.

Mr. Andresen was born in Union county, South Dakota, January 19, 1893, the son of Henry and Carolina Andresen, and lived in that community all his life. he grew to manhood in Plymouth county and was married April 22, 1919, to Alma Helena Siebels, who survives him with two daughters, Vernice and Doris, two sons, Lloyd and Wayne. He is also survived by four brothers, Herman, Charles, Andrew, and Fred, his stepmother, Mrs. Margaret Andresen of Hawarden and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. A sister, Anna, preceded him in death 11 years ago.

Funeral services were held here in Trinity Lutheran church, of which he was a communicant member, Wednesday afternoon, Rev. J. A. Pannkuk officiating. Interment was made in Riverside cemetery.
