Fred H. Pech

Fred Henry Pech, 82, a lifelong rural Le Mars resident, died Saturday, July 4, at Floyd Valley hospital after an illness of one week.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Mauer Funeral chapel with Rev. George Dunn officiating. Burial will be in the Le Mars Memorial cemetery under direction of the Mauer Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held Monday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

He was born Dec. 30, 1887, Elgin township, rural Le Mars, a son of the late Ferdinand and Caroline (Hintz) Pech. He was married to Jessie Laughton June 28, 1922, in Le Mars. He was a retired well driller. He was a member of the American Legion and a veteran of World War 1.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and four brothers.

Survivors are his wife Jessie of rural Le Mars; two sisters, Mrs. Rose mandelkow of Spencer and Mrs. Martha Albers of Le Mars; a brother, Edward Pech of rural Le Mars and several nieces and nephews.
