Mrs. Fred (Kathryn) Pech, 76, route 4, Le Mars, died Saturday (Jan. 6. 1973) at Floyd Valley hospital after a long illness. She had been hospitalized since l
Aug. 10.

Mrs. Pech was a lifegon resident of Plymouth county and had lived on the same farm since 1919.

The former Jessie Laughton, she was born Feb. 15, 1896, in Plymouth County, the daughter of the late George L. and Mary (Hayden) Laughton. She was married to Fred Henry Pech June 28, 1922, in Le Mars. Mrs. Pech was a member of the ladies auxliary of World War 1.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Mauer Funeral Chapel with Rev. Milo Morris officiating. Burial will be in Le Mars Memorial Cemetery under direction of the Mauer Funeral Home.

Survivors are a sister, Leora Laughton of Le Mars; a brother, Lloyd Laughton of rural Le Mars and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Harry and Floyd and her husband July 4, 1970.
