Minnie J. Haage

Minnie J. Haage, 69, of Hawarden, died Sunday (Feb. 14, 1988) at her residence after a long illness.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the American Lutheran church in Hawarden with the Rav. Jalmer Eldal officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery under direction of Dow funeral home.

Pallbearers were Dan Vanderham, Darold Vanderham, Dean Weyen, Lloyd Meyer, Norman Heubner, Paul Haage.

Mrs. Haage, the former Minnie Vanderham, was born July 3, 1918, to David Herman and Anna Stallbum Vanderham, in Minot, N. D. She moved to Plymouth county and to the Akron and Chatsworth area with her parents. She married Elmer F. Haage Nov. 15, 1919, rural Akron. The couple lived in Akron and moved to Hawarden in 1954. He died Jan. 6, 1975.

Mrs. Haage was a member of the Americna Lutheran church.

Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Statema and Mrs. Robert (Verla) Harvey, both of Hawarden; three sons, Robert of Dixon, Calif., Dennis and Randy, both of Hawarden; five sisters, Katie Kaekle of Bellgrade, Minn., Mary Place of Snohomish, Wash., Lena Weyen of Chatsworth, Anna Huebner of Akron, and Rosie Huebner of Beresford, S. D.; a brother, Bill of Sioux City; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
