MRS. LESTER BROWN DIES UNEXPECTEDLY AFTER BRIEF ILLNESS
Funeral Services Saturday Afternoon
Mrs. Lester Brown, 69, of 701 2nd Ave. SW died unexpectedly Friday at Sacred Heart Hospital after a brief illness. She had been hospitalized three and a half days.
A retired saleswoman, Mrs. Brown was a lifelong resident of Le Mars and vicinity.
Funeral services will be at 3:15 p.m., Saturday, at Mauer's Funeral Home. with Rev. C. W. Dehne officiating. Mrs. Brown was a member of Calvary Evangelical United Brethren Church.
Edna Caroline Zimmerman was born Oct. 27, 1893, in Le Mars. Her marriage to Lester Brown took place May 2, 1917, at South Sioux City.
Surviving are her husband; a son, Robert L. of Remsen; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles H. Sr. and Sarah Elizabeth Hamm Zimmerman, and three brothers, Herbert, Sam, and Henry.
Henry Zimmerman of Le Mars died less than a week ago on Nov. 11.
