FORMER AKRON MAN CALLED

According to word received by relatives here, Waltrer R. Kennedy, a former Akron citizen and busibess man, passed away at his home in Eugene, Oregon, Friday morning, January 14, 1938, age nearly 66 years. The nature f his final illness was not stated.

Mr. Kennedy's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Kennedy, were early day residents of Akron, his father conducting a general store here for many years. Walter Kennedy conducted a confectionery store here before moving to Eugene, where he has been a railway ticket agent many years.

He is survived by his wife and one daughtrer, a brother, D. E. Kennedy, of Portland, Ore., and two sisters, Mrs. Fred W. Burnett, of Akron, and Mrs. A. E. Peters, of New Hampshire.

Mr. Kennedy was soon to have retired from his railroad work on pension and planned to visit relatives here and in New Hampshire in the near future.

Relatives have the sympathy of local friends in their bereavement.
