SUMMONS COMES TO AN ESTEEMED LOCAL WOMAN
Final Rites Are Held For Mrs. Frank Coyle Thursday Morning
In these columns last week a brief mention was made of the death of Mrs. Frank J. Coyle, a beloved woman of this community, on Tuesday morning, Juy 22, 1941, after an extended illness, following a series of strokes, aged 63 years, 4 months, and 17 days. A resident west of here in Union County, S. D., she had been cared for in the home of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Willard F. Keane, in this city, since last March.
Mary Winifred [Freddie] O'Rielly, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. [Mary] Patrick X. O'Rielly, early day resident of this vicinity, was born March 5, 1878, in Union County, S. D. Here she grew to young womanhood and attended the local schools. On June 17, 1902, she was united in marriage with Francis Joseph Coyle, of Akron. There came to bless this union one daughter and one son, Carmel and everett Coyle, both of Akron.
Mrs. Coyle was a devout member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, and a member of the Catholic Daughters of American, Catholic Women's League, Country Club, and a charter member of the Home Culture Club and Thursday Dinner Club. A woman of kind and amiable nature, generous and sympathetic impulses, a devoted wife and mother, a valued friend and helpful neighbor, she will be most sincerely missed and mourned in the community in which she had spent her entire lifetime.
Left to mourn her departure are her husban; her daughter, Carmel; her son, Everett, and family, and her sister, Mrs. W. F. Keane, and family, all of Akron vicinity.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. S. L'Rielly, and one brother, Patrick.At the funeral sercies held in St. Patrick's Catholic Church last Thursday morning, Rev. Fr. Richard Graf, of Hawarden, officiated at the funeral high mass. There was a large attenance at the services. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery here.
