Pamela Jean Rohmiller was born May 13, 1961 in Sioux City, Iowa to Joseph and Louise (Turman) Rohmiller. “Pammie” as she was known by family and friends began her education at St. Michael’s Catholic School in Kingsley before attending school at Le Mars. She graduated from Le Mars Community High School in 1981. Following high school, Pam moved to Hope Haven in Rock Valley. She returned to Le Mars to live at the R.E. Porter Home and later lived independently with the Pride Group. Pammie was employed with the Work Activity Center and in recent years with Life Skills. She loved to work and be around people.
Pammie will be remembered for her infectious smile and for being fearless. She loved to be around family and friends many of whom she would share a kiss. She enjoyed movies, eating with family, and like her cup of c, “just black like Joe”. Pammie enjoyed being around horses and she loved diamonds (‘diamonds are a girl’s best friend’). Pammie had a special quality to her, she could brighten everyone’s day with a smile. She will be greatly missed by her family.
Survivors include her siblings, Clayton Rohmiller, Scott Rohmiller and his friend Kim Schroeder, and Laurie Lamb and her husband Dave all of Le Mars; several nieces, aunts, and uncles; and special family friends Bob and Bonnie Banks of Mapleton, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe on September 13, 2007 and Louise on March 29, 2001; a brother Robert, and a sister, Betty Lou in infancy. ©
