Note: Her first name is Anke or in English Anna. Her maiden name is Taddiken.

Mrs. Borchers, One of the Old Residents of Presidents of Preston Township, Passes Away at the Home of Her Daughter, Mrs. Meint Eilers.

Mrs. Henry Borchers

Mrs. Henry Borchers, a well known resident in the northwest part of the county, died yesterday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Meint Eilers, in Grant township. She had been in poor health for some time, suffering from diabetes and other complications. Mrs. Borchers had lived in Plymouth county since the eighties. Her husband died several years ago and she made her home with various members of her family for the past few years.

Mrs. Borchers was a native of Germany where she was born on February 16, 1842. She came to America in 1867 and her family settled near Sterling, Illinois, where she was married.

She leaves to mourn her death six sons and two daughters, who are; Henry Borchers, of Johnson township, Berhard, August, Louis, William and John, all living in Preston township, Mrs. Chas. Mammen and Mrs. Meint Eilers, of Grant township. One daughter, Mrs. John Dirks, preceded her mother in death.

Mrs. Borchers was a good wife and mother and was highly esteemed by a large circle of neighbors and friends.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday afternoon at the German Lutheran Church in Preston township, Rev. Meyers officiating.
