Miss Anna Popken

Miss Anna Popken, 77, LeMars, died June 23 at a Le Mars hospital after an illness of several months.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. June 25 at the Mauer Funeral Chapel, LeMars, with the Rev. Donal Deines officiating. Burial was in LeMars Memorial Cemetery.

Miss Popken was born May 3, 1897, in Jever, Germany. She came to the United States at the age of 14 and lived in Plymouth County since then. She was a seamstress.

Survivors include a brother, Fred of Akron, and three sisters, Mrs. Alfred Molzen of LeMars and Mrs. Marie Vanderham and Mrs. Augusta Buehre, both of Akron.
