Funeral services for Robert E. Brownlee, 63, 613 W. Third Street, Sioux City were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Whitfield Methodist Church, Rev. S. Willard Cunningham and Rev. M. F. Metcalf officiated. Burial was in Graceland Park Cemetery under direction of the Nelson-Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Francis Boden, Harry O'Connor, Stanley Bridenbaugh, William Cottrell, Kenneth Trometer and Earl Kvaale.

Mr. Brownlee was born February 16, 1891, in Ida County, Ia. He came to Sioux City with his parents as a child and lived most of his life in Plymouth and Woodbury counties. Mr. Brownlee farmed in Plymouth County for many years. He was a former member of the Plymouth County Board of Supervisors and at one time served as chairman of the board of supervisors.

He was a member of the First Methodist Church at Merrill, Ia. He moved to Sioux City when he retired in May, 1952.

Survivors include the widow, Lillian; a daughter, Mrs. John Newton of Ponca, Neb., and two grandchildren.
