John E. Ericson Taken By Death
Resident Of Akron For Many Years
John E. Ericson, 77, long time resident of Akron, died at his home Sunday (March 7, 1943) morning after a brief illness.
Mr. Ericson came from Sweden with his parents when four years old. They were early settlers in Union county, Dakota Territory. Mr. Ericson farmed for many years and then lived in Akron. He was married to Mathilda Back, October 10, 1887. She died July 21, 1928. Mr. Ericson was a charter member of Union Creek Lutheran church.
Surviving are a granddaughter, Mrs. Dorothy Vick of Chicago; two brothers, Martin and William of Akron; two sister, Adina Hultgren of Akron and Mrs. Louise Harker of Hawarden.
The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Union Creek church with Rev. Leslie Olson, pastor of the church, officiating, and interment made in the church
