BREDALL--At his home in Akron, Iowa, Wednesday, August 28, 1907, Christian Jensen Bredall, aged 78 years, 4 months and 16 days.

Deceased had been ailing for some time with troubles incident to advanced age. His earthly pilgrimage ended and the soul peacefully took its flight at eleven o'clock in the forenoon of the day above mentioned.

Christian Jensen Bredall was born in Hoptrup, Mark, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, Arpil 12, 1829. He married Anna K. Peterson in 1853 and she died in 1868. To them were born five children--Mrs. Roman, now at Calliope, Iowa; Mrs. Juhl, of Le Mars; Jens, west of Akron; Peter, now visiting in Denmark, and Christian, at home.

In 1869 he married Mrs. Johanna Jensen, who surives him, and to them were born three children--Mrs. Hyden, of Alcester, S. D.; Andrew, deceased, and a daughter, who died in infancy. Mrs. Peter Blum, of this city is a daughter by adoption.

The family came from Germany to Union County, S. D., April 22, 1877, locating on a homestead. It remained the family home until seven years ago, when the aged couple retired from the farm and came to Akron to live.

Mr. Bredall was a kind husband and father, and held in high esteem by all who knew him. His life was filled with usefulness and the world is better for his long sojourn.

Brief services were conducted Saturday at the home by Rev. H. Robinson, and in the afternoon Rev. Swaney Nelson conducted the funeral at the Big Springs Baptist Church. Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, alcester, S. D.
