SERVICES PLANNED THURSDAY AFTERNOON

Funeral services for Bernard Borchers, 58, LeMars, will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. John United church. Rev. James Ransom will officiate. Burial will be in the LeMars Memorial cemetery under the direction of the Mauer funeral home. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday evening.

Mr. Borchers died Monday (July 24, 1967) at Floyd Valley hospital after a week-long illness. He was born Nov. 20, 1908, in rural LeMars. His parents were the late Lewis and Emma (Coll man) Borchers.

Ho spent all his life in Plymouth county and the. last 25 years in LeMars. He married Alice Wilhelmi ait the Preston township Lutheran church, rural LeMars Sept. 2, 1929. He was a world war 2 veteran and worked as a truck transport driver.

Survivors besides his wife are two sons, Louis Borchers of Long Beach, Calif., and Harlan Borchers of LeMars; seven daughters, Mrs. Robert Gaffey of LeMars, Mrs. William Meyer of Concordia, Mo., Mrs. Robert Alt of Waterloo; Berla Borchers and Victoria Borchers of LeMars, and Veronica Borchers and Gayle Borchers of Sioux City; two brothers, Henry Borchers of Akron and William Borchers of LeMars; one sister, Mrs. Helen Noble of Ireton; and 13 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Harvey; two sons, Rodney and Marvin, and three daughters
