Former Resident Of Merrill Dead

A. Anderson Taken After Long Illness

Alfred T. Anderson was born April 3, 1895, at Grinnell, Iowa and passed away at the Sacred Heart Hospital May 22, 1945. He was a son of Charles and Regine Anderson. He moved with his parents in early childhood to a farm west of Merrill where he spent his early days. He made his home in Denver and Trididad, Colorado, more than six years where he worked as fireman on the railroad and in the Oaks Home, Denver. He was a fireman at Forsyth, Montana, for some time. He was in the threshing business for several years. Later he worked as garage mechanic in Merrill.

Before he was taken ill seven years ago he cared for his invalid mother tow and a half years. He was patient and faithful during those years. His long illness may have been caused by the strain and indoor life. He was a patient suffered during his long illness.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, who died in infancy, one nephew, Norman Karli, ine neice, Larose Vivian.

He is survived by one brother, Jacob B. Anderson, Sioux City, Iowa, and the following sisters:

Mrs. Emma Karli, Merrill; Mrs. Rose Tullis, Le Mars; Mrs. Stella Cumihow, Le Mars, two nieces, Mrs. Alice Keenan, Le Mars, Mrs. Lucille James, Oakland, Calif.; three nephews, Lauren Tullis, Le Mars, John Tulliss, Marcus, and VErlin Karli, Merrill.

He never married.

Funeral services will be held at the Wiltgen Funeral Home, Le Mars, at 2:30 May 24, 1945. Burial will be at Merrill.
