Note: He is probably buried in Riverside Cemetery.

Last Saturday the sad news was received here that August Anderson, of Akron, had passed away in Sioux City the previous evening.

During the first part of last December, Mr. Anderson was stricken with paralysis, which affected his lower limbs. He was cared for at the local hospital three months and during the last three months was at hospitals in Sioux City. During this time he was confined to his bed practically all the time. A week ago last Tuesday he submitted to a delicate operation on his spine in hpes of sceuring some relief; but all was in vain. The shock from the operation was evidently too great for him to withstand, and he passed quietly away last Friday evening, June 9, 1916, at 10:45 o'clock.

At his death he had attained the age of 39 years, 8 months, and 25 days.

He leaves two brothers and one sister in Sweden. In this country he had a few distant relatives, among whom are Godfrey Davidson and Ivar Johnson, of Akron; Mrs. Augusta Nelson, of Sioux City, and a Mrs. Anderson, of Lawton, Ia., all of whom were here for the funeral.

The funeral services were held from the Akron Scandinavian Lutheran church last Tuesday afternoon.
