Note: His mother's maiden name was Herzig and his ex-wife is Anna Peck. He married Mary Ann Spurling in 1970.

Geo. Heyl Dies In Vets Hospital; Rites Saturday

George E. Heyl, 49, 1 Mark Ct., died dec 24 at Veterans hospital in Des Moines. Funeral services were this Saturday morning in Sliefert Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Robert Bailey of Grace Lutheran Church officiating. Interment was in Buena Vista Memorail Park.

Mr. Heyl was a native of Akron where he was born April 6, 1926. He had resided in Storm Lake about six years and employed by Case Implement after serving for 21 years in the military service.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann; his mother, Mrs. Wilma Heyl of Akron; three stepsons, Bill Spurling of Sac City; Bob Spurling of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Jim Spurling of Ames; and adopted son, Walter Heyl of Chicago, three step-daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Jean) SArnecki of North Ridge, Calif., Mrs. paul (Kay) Carnie of Des Moines and Mrs. Walter (Marlene) Forrester of Chicago, Ill.; 13 grandchildren and nine sisters.
