Clark E. Heyl

Clark E. Heyl, 72, Akron, died Monday (Sept. 23, 1985) in the Akron Hospital of a long illness.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27 in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Akron. The Rev. Benard Nelson officiated. Gary Tucker, vocalist, sang "How Great thou Art", accompanied on the organ by Carol Harris. The congregational hymn was "What A Friend". Burial was in the Union Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Akron, under the direction of the schroeder Funeral Home of Akron.

Pallbearers were Milton Heyl, Darrel Boetger, Eldon Smith, Randy Willms, Rodney Willms, and John Willms.

Mr. Heyl was born January 17, 1913, in Plymouth County, Iowa, to george and Sophia Christensen Heyl. He married Otilda Willms February 1, 1939, in Sioux City. He operated a trucking and custom corn shelling business for many years. He retired in 1971 due to ill health.

He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Akron.

Survivors inclued his wife; one son, Jerome of Westminster Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Edward (Diana) Beeck of Akron; one brother, Ralph of Le Mars; two sisters, Mrs. Marvin (Dolly) Baldwin of Le Mars and Mrs. Edward (Alma) Berry of Palm Springs, Calif.; one grandson; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Lester; and one sister, Alyce.
