Mrs. Eddie Martfeld

Mrs. Eddie (Janice Arlene) Martfeld, 42, lifelong Le Mars area resident, died Thursday (Oct. 16, 1980) at Floyd Valley Hospital after an illness of three months.

Janice Arlene Ioos was born March 20, 1938, in Le Mars to Henry and Mrgaret Utech Ioos. She had been employed at Le Mars Savings Bank. Mrs. Martfeld was a member of the Presbyterian United Church of Christ and the wonen’s evening guild. She married Eddie Martfeld Oct. 15, 1958, in Le Mars.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Presbyterian United Church of Christ, Le Mars. Rev. Ralph Nelson will officiate and burial will be in Le Mars Memorial Cemetery under direction of the Mauer Funeral Home.

Survivors are her husband, Eddie, Le Mars; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ioos, Le Mars; a brother, Lanny Ioos, Rapid City, S. D., two nieces and a nephew.
