Obituary:
Rellen Charles Taylor, 76, rural Westfield, died Monday at his home after suffering a heart attack.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Nelson - Berger Northside funeral home in Sioux City.
Rev. Edward Maus, pastor of Westfield Congregational church, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery in Sioux City.
Mr. Taylor was born March 24, 1892, at Correctionville. He farmed at Minot, N.D., until he went in the army during World War 1. Upon return from service he moved to Westfield where he farmed until his retirement in 1958.
He married Hazel Mulheron in 1924 at Elk Point, S.D. He was a member of Akron post 186, American Legion; and Plymouth county barracks 1507, Veterans of World War 1.Survivors are his wife; a son, Robert L. Taylor of Westfield; a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Lorna) Whiting Jr. of Akron; five brothers, John, Fred and Ralph of Sioux City, Tom of Salem, Ore., and Arthur of Pasadena, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Maude Summers of Chicago, Mrs. Neil Poston of Sioux City and Mrs. Andrew Anderson of Sioux City; and five grandchildren.
