Mrs. Charles R. Taylor

Mrs. Charles (Hazel) Taylor, 87, Westfield, died Wednesday (June 30, 1982) in the Akron nursing home after a long illness.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Schroeder funeral home in Akron. The Rev. Harold Sieglaff officiated with burial in Memorial Park cemetery in Sioux City.

Pallbearers were Jim McSparran, Lowell Morehead, Roy Postlewait, Bill Mulbaron, Arden Banks, and Harold Moffatt.

Mrs. Taylor was born Dec. 27, 1894, at Charter Oak, Iowa. She married Charles Taylor in August 1924 at Elk Point, S.D. He died in January 1969. They farmed in the Westfield area their entire married life, except for three years in Sioux City from 1925 to 1928. Mrs. Taylor entered the Akron nursing home in 1979.

Survivors include one son, Robert L. of Westfield; one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Lorna) Whiting, Akron; three sisters, Mrs. Nelle Craswell of Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. Faye Hathaway of Sioux City and Mrs. Fern Dreeszen of Westfield; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
