Mrs. Otellia L. Trafford, 86, wife of the late Harry Trafford who resided at 400 6th street Southwest passed away at home on May 28 in her sleep. She had been in failing health the past year.
Otellia Szitnick, the daughter of John and Agatha Szitnick, had resided in LeMars her entire life. She was married to Harry Trafford on August 29, 1898, in LeMars.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 1, at 2 p. m. at St. John’s Evangelical and Reformed church in LeMars with Rev. M. L. Straube officiating. Burial will be in City Cemetery under the direction of the Wiltgen Luedtke funeral home.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p. m. Tuesday until service time. The remains will lie in state at the church one hour before service time.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Edith) Masuen and Miss Emma Trafford of LeMars and Mrs. Louise Haack of Remsen; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two daughters in infancy. She was a member of the Swiss Club and a charter member of Ladies Aid at St. John’s.

MRS. OTELLIA TRAFFORD DIED SATURDAY—WAS 86Funeral services for Mrs. Otellia Trafford, 86, who died in her sleep Saturday at her home here, will be at 2 p. m. Wednesday at St. John’s Evangelical and Reformed church. Rev. M. L. Straube will officiate and burial will be in the City Cemetery under the direction of the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home.
Mrs. Trafford was born April 14, 1874, at LeMars, and spent her entire lifetime here. She was married to Harry Trafford, Aug. 29, 1898.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Masuen of LeMars, Mrs. Louise Haack of Remsen and Miss Emma Trafford of LeMars, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
