Ralph Brehm Dies Of Heart Attack

Spent Life In Hinton Community

Ralph Brehm, Hinton farmer, died Monday at a Sioux City hospital, where he ahd been taken a day before after a heart attack at his home.

Ralph Brehm was bron November 2, 1895, at Melbourne, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Brehm, being pioneer residents of that oldest settlement in Plymouth county. Ralph who spent his entire life in that community, lived on the BRehm home place until a few years ago when he moved to Hinton, but continued his farming operations. He saw service in the first World War and was active in Legion work.

On December 18, 1922, Mr. Brehm was married to Miss Irene Burke at Story City, Iowa, who survives him with a son, Jack, and a daughter, Marilyn, both at home. He is also survived by a brother, Will, on the old home farm and three sisters who live in Pasadena, Calif., Mrs. Gladys Parsons, Mrs. Jeanette Minkler and Mrs. Caroline Osmundson.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Hinton Methodist church, of which he was a member, with Rev. W. C. Smith and Rev. Golden Thompson officiating.

An American Legion military service was conducted at the grave in Memorial Park cemetery, Sioux City.
