ESTEEMED AKRON WOMAN CALLED BY DEATH SATURDAY

Funeral Services Are Held Tuesday For Mrs. Alfred Klemme

Mrs. Alfred Klemme departed this life at the Akron Hospital last Saturday, August 26, following an illness of a duration. She was 72 years, 6 months, and 5 days of age.

Rosina Josephine Bubs was born at Spink, Union County, South Dakota, February 21, 1895. She was baptized at the age of one month, on March 24, 1895. She became an adult member through, confirmation in the Brute Creek Lutheran Church on June 19, 1910, with Pastor Schuetz officiating.

On February 20, 1917, she was united in marriage with Mr. Alfred Klemme at a wedding service in Trinity Lutheran church in Akron. Pastor F. A. Meske officiated. Alfred and Rose celebrated the Golden Anniversary of this marriage here at Immanuel in February of this year.

Previous to her marriage Mrs,. Klemme was doing housework here in Akron and also sold tickets at the Norka Theater. Following their marriage, they lived here for a year, and then moved in 1918 to their farm home where they lived until 1952. For the last fifteen years they have resided in Akron.

In June 1925 they became members of Immanuel church and have been active members for the last 42 years. Her faith and loyalty to her church and to her Savior was clearly evident. She was willing to serve wherever she could and to whatever way she could.

In her home she was a devoted wife, mother, and companion to her husband and children. She lost her son, Wilmer, through death in March 1963. Her brother William preceded her in death in January of this year.

Among those who survive to mourn her departure are: her husband, Alfred; her son, Gordon of Akron; her daughter-in-law, Dorothy Klemme of LeMars; her sisters, Mrs. Anna Klemme and Mrs Luella Koplin both of Akron, and Mrs. Lydia Heiss of Canton, Ohio; four grandchildren and other relatives, besides many friends,.

Funeral services were held Tuesday forenoon in Immanuel Lutheran church, Rev. David J. Roy officiating. Mrs. Stuart Harris was vocalist and Mrs. Henning Shoulberg was organist.

Casket bearers were John Dirks, Richard Dirks, Richard Bean, Daryl Por,t Julius Willer, and Melvin Heneen. Interment was in Riverside cemetery.
