Alfred H. Klemme departed this life at the Akron hospital last Wednesday morning, December 10, 1969, following an illness of many weeks duration. He was 75 years of age.

Alfred Henry Klemme was born at Akron, Iowa, July 8, 1894. He was baptized August 5, 1894. Later he was confirmed in St. John's Lutheran Church, Preston Township, Akron, April 4, 1909. On February 20, 1917, he was united in marriage to Miss Rosina Bubs at a wedding service in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron. Pastor F. A. Meske officiated.

Alfred and Rose celebrated the Golden Anniversary of their marriage in Immanuel church on February of 1967. They lived much of their married life on the farm home east of Akron, until moving into Akron in 1952. He had lived in Akron since that time. Alfred was remembered not only as a farmer, but also as a photographer, an operator of the Norka Theater and as a television repairman. In June of 1925, he and his wife became members of Immanuel and had been active members throughout their lives. Alfred thought highly of his church and of his Savior and showed this in various ways, such as serving in any way he could.

Among those who survive to mourn his departure are: his son, Gordon; his brother, Harry, both of Akron; four grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. His wife preceded him in death in August of 1967, and his son, Wilmer, in March of 1963. Two brothers and his sister also preceded him in death.
