Romaine Richardson

Romaine D. Richardson, 41, 2701 S. Lemon St., Sioux City, was dead on arrival Friday morning (Sept. 29, 1972) at a Sioux City hospital after he was stricken with a heart attack, according to Dr. Thomas L. Coriden, Woodbury county medical examiner.

Mr. Richardson was born Oct. 1,1930, at rural Hawarden. He moved to Kingsley as a child. He entered the army in March 1951 and served in Korea for two years.

Mr. Richardson married Shirley Jean Dolphin Dec. 4,1953, in Sioux City. He was an estimator for Haakinson — Beaty Co., where he had been employed for 18 years.

He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran church.

Funeral services were 1 p.m. Monday at the Redeemer Lutheran church, Sioux City, with Rev. Lothar Braeuning officiating.

Burial was in Graceland Park cemetery under direction of the W. Harry Christy funeral home, Morningside.

Pallbearers were Karl Staben, James Richardson, Larry Rees, Stan Anderson, Harold Hamman and Anthony Bilunas.

Survivors are his wife; two sons, Rick of Ames, and Michael at home; a daughter, Jeri Jean at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Richardson of Kingsley; and three brothers, Kent and Glenn, both of Sioux City, and Bruce of Kingsley.
