LAST RITES FOR WM. BLY, FORMER AKRON RESIDENT

Was Engaged in Hardware Business Here Number of Years Ago

Wm. Bly, a former well known resident and business man of Akron, died at his home in Long Beach, Calif., on Friday, October 3, 1931, aged about 77 years.

A short time ago Mr. Bly was stricken with paralysis, and on Monday of last week he attempted to walk and fell and fractured his hip, following which he declined until the end.
Mr. Bly is survived by one son, Alvin, of Long Beach.

His wife preceded him in death a few years ago.

A nephew, Lewis Bly, lives west of here in Union county, S. D. Before going west a number of years ago, Mr. Bly and his brother, Frank, were engaged in the hardward business here. Mr. Bly was held in high esteem by all and his many old time friends in this vicinity regret to hear of his death.

The remains arrived in Akron from Long Beach today and funeral services were held in the Baptist church this (Thursday) afternoon, conducted by Rev. F. F. Robinson. Interment was in Riverside cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Bly accompanied his father's remains here from Long Beach.
