Gloria Brabander, 84, of North Sioux City, S.D., and formerly of Le Mars, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City.
Gloria was born June 29, 1929, in Sioux City, to Lawrence and Mary (Kozlowski) Moran. She graduated from Sioux City Central High School in 1947.

She married Wallace Brabander in Sioux City in 1949, and later lived and worked on the Brabander family farm and had two children, Ron and Cindy.

In 1970, the family moved to Pierre, S.D. until 1997, when Wally and Gloria moved to McCook Lake, S.D following Wally's retirement.

Wally died April 28, 2010.

Gloria enjoyed working in and around the family home in Pierre and later in North Sioux City, and liked to tend her flowers and bird feeders. She enjoyed cooking for family, especially during the holidays, and was always involved in supporting the family's varied hobbies and interests.

Gloria is survived by her two children, Ron Brabander, of North Sioux City, S.D., and Cindy Brabander, of Cleveland, Ohio, and her sister, Lois Mieras of Portland, Ore., and her children and extended family.

Gloria's two children wish to express how grateful they are for the loving care she provided to the entire family though out her life, and will miss her greatly.

Services will be 2 p.m. today (Monday) at the Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars. Visitations will be from 1 p.m. until service time on Monday. Interment will be in Memorial Cemetery, Le Mars.
