Funeral services were held for Hugh Nehemiah Chamberlain, 79, on January 24, 1969, in Cottonwood, Arizona. Burial was in Cottonwood Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Chamberlain was born in South Dakota September 16, 1889, the youngest of three children of George Chamberlain and Mary Spalding. He spent his boyhood in the Elk Point area. He married Grace Stick in September 1914 and moved to the Akron area.
Three children of this marriage survive him; Cluett, who is Feed Specialist at Farmers Co-op Grain Company in Lake City, Iowa; Ruth (Mrs. Dick Redenius), who is Cafeteria Supervisor at St. Johns Hospital in Oxnard, California; and Betty (Mrs. Wayne Fitzgertald) who is Principal of Semco High School in Gilman, Iowa. He also had eight grandchildren, one who preceded him in death, and twelve great- grandchildren.
Mr. Chamberlain moved to Arizona from the Akron farm area in 1944. He lived in Tempe area until 1963 when he moved to Cottonwood.
