FRANK FRIEDRICH — LONGTIME AKRON AREA RESIDENT DIES AT 77

Frank Friedrich, 77, of Hawarden, former longtime Akron vicinity resident, died unexpectedly Saturday at a Hawarden nursing home where he had resided the last two years.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John Lutheran church in Preston township, near Akron. Rev. Conrad Guetzlaff will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Mauer's funeral home.

Mr. Friedrich was born Oct. 26, 1882 at Hanover, Ind., and came to Plymouth county in 1886. He had made his home in Preston township and the Akron vicinity until going to Hawarden. Mr. Friedrich was a retired farm laborer.

Surviving are three step-brothers, Edward, Herman and Henry Friedrich, all of rural Akron. He was preceded in death by his step-father and mother, the former Anna Riegerts.
