Mrs. Peter Raveling Claimed By Death

Funeral rites were held Tuesday at St., Paul's Evangelical church in Remsen for Mrs. Peter Raveling, 63, well known Remsen resident, who succumbed to a brief illness Saturday (December 30, 1939). She was born at Reinbeck, Iowa, August 22, 1876, her maiden name being Alvina Steffen.

She was married to Peter Raveling February 23, 1905. Her husband and the following step-children survive her: Henry and George Raveling and Mrs. John Mulf, Sioux City; Mrs. Andrew Willadsen, Cherokee; Jake Raveling, Mrs. Ed. Reiners and Mrs. John Schmidt, Remsen. The following sisters also survive: Mrs. John Soehren, Mott, N. D.; Mrs. Henry Willer, Reinbeck, Iowa; Mrs. Adolph Nottenmier, Alpena, S. D., and Mrs. George Maehrlein, Reinbeck.
